Suzhou Research & Solutions Center

Founded in 2002, the Suzhou Research & Solutions Center aims to drive business growth through excellent customer service and the development of innovative solutions. The center was instrumental in the development of new compressors for the Asia Pacific region. The growth from new product sales in the last 5 years spurred further expansion of the center to a bigger facility located in Suzhou, right next to the Copeland's scroll compressor plant. This center is equipped with a state-of-the-art solutions gallery, hands-on training room, simulation laboratories, and collaborative working spaces for Copeland engineers. The new facility targets to strengthen collaboration and innovation between Copeland employees and key stakeholders.

Copeland's Labs: Where Innovation Happens

Laboratory

With over 35,000 square meters dedicated for solutions testing, the state of the art facilities includes 12 full sized laboratories, 4 of which were recently added to the R&D Center. The facility is equipped for enhanced simulation, fatigue testing, chemistry and HVACR system level testing capabilities. The R&D Center also boast of the largest reliability testing laboratory in Asia, with the capability of testing over 260 compressors at any given time. Our customers are welcomed and encouraged to collaborate in the testing and development of systems and solutions.

Manufacturing Plants

Copeland’s presence in China includes 3 manufacturing facilities in Suzhou, a service center located in Xi’an and a Research & Development Center also situated in Suzhou.

In November 2017, Copeland invested USD 40 million towards the Phase II development of the Suzhou scroll manufacturing facility. Scroll production capacity was increased along with the improvement of technical support and service offerings.
