Copeland’s Lauren MacGowens Recognized for Impact in HVACR Industry

MacGowens was named to The ACHR NEWS’ Top 40 Under 40 list, highlighting young individuals contributing to the HVACR industry

ST. LOUIS (August 11, 2025) – Copeland, a global provider of sustainable climate solutions, announced Lauren MacGowens, director of sustainability and PMO for Copeland’s Industrial business, was named to The ACHR NEWS Top 40 Under 40 List as one of the top contributors to the HVACR industry.

During her over 10 years in the HVACR industry, Lauren has played a pivotal role in advancing decarbonization efforts, driving the hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) phasedown and promoting the adoption of low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants industry-wide. By collaborating with regulators, manufacturers and advocacy groups on committees such as ASHRAE 15, SPC 72, TC 10.7, SSPC 90.1 and SSPC 210, Lauren has worked to ensure the industry is prepared to meet today’s sustainability goals while laying a foundation for the future. In her current role at Copeland, Lauren leverages her experience to guide the regulatory, policy and sustainability projects across the industrial side of the business, bolstering Copeland's position as sustainability leader in HVACR.
