At roughly half the height of a vertical scroll, the low-profile Copeland horizontal variable speed scroll compressor solves known design challenges and represents the latest innovation in compliant scroll technology for refrigeration equipment.

Stand-alone commercial refrigeration equipment — such as medium- and low-temperature, reach-ins, walk-ins, food prep tables, and process chillers commonly used in restaurants, convenience stores (C-stores) and small-format food retailers — has been subjected to increasingly stringent energy requirements over the last decade.
