How Sensors Work

A sensor is a device that detects and responds to some type of input from the physical environment. Sensors can be used alone or to augment Facility Management Systems. They provide output regarding temperature, humidity, light, and many other factors. This output can be read at the local sensor or consolidated by the Facility Management System to help identify opportunities for operational improvement.

  • Sensors and Transducers - A wide variety of sensors for measuring temperature outdoor, indoor and more
  • Pressure Transducers - Pressure transducers available in four pressure ranges
  • Humidity and Dew Point Sensors - A variety of dew point and relative humidity sensors for both indoor and outdoor applications
  • Light Level Sensors - Sensors that communicate with a supervisory controller to dim lights or switch lights on and off
